literacy champions program
Application process
All applications for the 2009 Literacy Champions program awards must be submitted by October 6, 2008. Applicants will be notified as to final selection determinations by December 1, 2008. Winners will be announced publicly in January.
To submit an application:
Applications should be submitted by mail. Only complete applications will be considered.
Each application must include:
- Official cover sheet completed
- Sections 1-4 completed
- Letters of Recommendation
You will need to print out and complete the downloadable form below. Answer sections 1-4 on separate sheet of paper. Please provide two copies of the completed application. make sure that all print is sharp and legible.
Mail entries to Mary Ellen McSheffrey, Herald In Education, Boston Herald, One Herald Square. Boston, MA 02118.
To applicants – If you had difficulty submitting an online application, we apologize. There are ongoing technical issues with the server that hosts our website and, because we are close to the deadline for nominations and want be sure that we receive yours, we ask that you all submit all nominations by U.S. mail. You will find instructions on the application information page. For the inconvenience, we will extend the application deadline to Monday, October 6th. Thank you for your patience.
